The Registered Manager of the Home is Mrs Jane Sagayno
Jane is a registered General Nurse who came from the Davao City in the Philippines to join the team at Hockley in May 2004. Jane fell in love with our residents, our culture but not so much our climate! She was appointed as Nurse Manager in August 2017.
Jane is quietly unassuming, she embodies efficiency; her warm, charming, caring nature is compelling. She goes above and beyond every day for her Residents. Hockley is most blessed to have such strong steady force in charge.

My name is Mary-Jane Sagayno, although I get Jane.
I have been a Nurse Manager in Hockley Private Nursing Home since 2017 and previous to this I learnt the art of being a Nurse Manager under the careful and concise guidance of Marion Wilson. She was a wonderful mentor to me and I was very privileged to be her “understudy”.
I am originally from the Philippines from one of the smaller Islands. I am from a family of 10, I am a devoted Christian and I am married and have two daughters whom are a great source of pride for me. Nursing has been a lifelong passion to me, I thrive on being the person who provides comfort in a time of need, gives knowledge and understanding when things are overwhelming and have the honour of being the person our families trust when their loved one are no longer able to stay at home.
I like to make Hockley an extension of their home. I try to make the transition as easy as possible for our residents. I truly want to encompass our homes ethos of providing quality care in a Christian setting for those who choose to live life in Hockley.
